Xbox Needs 300 Million USD To Bring Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to Xbox Game Pass

In an internal email between May 7, 2022, and May 17, 2022, Phil Spencer, Matt Booty, Sarah Bond, and others discussed securing Xbox Game Pass content for the end of 2022.
This email comes after the news that Starfield has been delayed until 2023 and the lack of clarity on release dates for Redfall and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
In his email, Bond listed third-party options for Xbox Game Pass, each with a price requested by the publisher or developer.
The list includes:
- Q2 Fiscal Year 2023
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Warner Bros. Games) – The estimated asking price is 35 million USD, noting that the game has news about culture crunch.
- Dying Light 2: Stay Human (Techland) – Estimated asking price 50 million USD
- Cities: Skylines II (Paradox Interactive) – No asking price listed
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar Games) – Approximate asking price 5 million USD per month
- Dragon Ball: The Breakers (Bandai Namco) – Estimated asking price 20 million USD
- Just Dance (Ubisoft) – Approximate asking price around 5 million USD
- Let’s Sing (Koch Media) – Estimated asking price 5 million USD
- Return to Monkey Island (Devolver Digital) – Estimated asking price 5 million USD
- Wreckfest 2 (THQ Nordic) – The approximate asking price is around 10 to 14 million USD
- Baldur’s Gate 3 (Larian Studios) – The estimated asking price is 5 million USD, with Xbox describing the game as “the second version of Stadia’s PC RPG”.
