Tomohiko Sho Has Ideas for a Dynasty Warriors: Origins Sequel
August 9, 2025 – Speaking with Edge Magazine, producer Tomohiko Sho was asked if there are plans for a sequel to Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
“Whether it will be called Dynasty Warriors: Origins 2 is another question,” Sho replied. “But yes, I have some ideas for it.”
Sho continued, “These ideas are only in my head, so I really want to work hard to realize them, rather than letting them remain just concepts. It’s not a sure thing, but it’s something I personally want to pursue.”
On the other hand, Sho expressed his desire to continue exploring the potential of Musou game crossovers.
“The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are two franchises that really spark my imagination. However, I believe [art director Shunya] Yoshida has his thoughts as well,” Sho said.
“Mad Max!” Yoshida shouted enthusiastically.
In May 2025, Sho had revealed his interest in creating more Musou games based on Western IPs like The Lord of the Rings.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam).
